Round 2 of the Blancpain Endurance Series was held at a sun soaked Silverstone on Sunday 15th May. With qualifying and the race on the same day the youngest driver line up on the grid of Moore, Watson and Fontana were disappointed to qualify in 39th place of the 53 car field with Andrew Watson rounding out Q3.

Heading into the rolling start at 15:00, Moore was first behind the wheel and managed to avoid trouble on the first lap, diving left to avoid a spinning car just after the start before making up over 5 places in the first few laps. An hour into the race, Moore and his McLaren 650S GT3 had made up over 10 places to pit at the handover to Fontana in much better shape and finally Watson to bring the car home in P22 to represent a significant gain from their starting position.

Moore commented: "We'd obviously hoped to have qualified higher to give us a chance to fight at the front but the rest of the weekend was positive. The team gave us a great car and I had a lot of fun pushing through the field in the first stint. It was my first rolling start and it got a bit hairy when someone span right in front of me which I managed to avoid and settle into a rhythm. I had my family and sponsors at the track so it was a real pleasure to race in front of them and the home crowd. Considering our starting position we've got to be fairly happy with our race pace and P22 but we obviously want to be fighting for podiums so I'm already itching to get back out at Paul Ricard next month".
