Frustrating weekend for Moore in Thailand
Following a third place qualifying session at the Buriram Circuit in Thailand Struan and his Race Performance team suffered a disappointing weekend following a suspension failure 10 laps from the chequered flag and a puncture with just 5 laps remaining while running P3, struggling home at the back of the grid. Struan completed the race with a double stint but there was too much of a gap to catch the second placed car. He was well ahead of the pack behind so a solid third place would’ve been secure prior to the mechanical problems. A difficult race was compounded by a radio failure on Struan’s first lap, a broken drinks tube and no lap-times on the dash.
Moore speaking after the race:
“It’s obviously a disappointing weekend, we were in a great position after Fuji so to come here and have so much bad luck is a real shame. I can’t fault the team, everyone worked incredibly hard but things just weren’t going for us. We’ll keep our heads up and look forward to the final round in Sepang later this month.”
