He made the step up to the Ginetta Juniors in 2011 for the established Hillspeed Team where he picked up 3 podiums despite having to concentrate on his school commitments. In 2014 he moved to Championship winning team Lanan where he has secured 7 podiums and a feature race win.
In November 2014 he took part in a one off Round of the MRF Series in Bahrain and secured a win in Race 2.
In 2015, Struan signed with KC Motorgroup (KCMG) to challenge in the Japanese F3 Series. Driving without prior knowledge of the tracks and up against big budget manufacturer backed teams, Struan impressed all year, often outpacing his more experienced rivals. In late 2015 this lead to a test with the McLaren GT team in Barcelona. A few weeks later it was confirmed that Struan was selected to represent McLaren GT on their Academy Driver Program. News of which Championship he’ll compete in will follow soon.
